Unit description

This unit provides students with the opportunity to consolidate the knowledge and skills required for a professional career in veterinary technology. The unit exposes students to a range of communication and practice management based factors that are essential skills for veterinary technologists. Students will also practice managing complex communications in the veterinary clinic environment.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. apply specialised knowledge of veterinary practice finances to identify deficiencies and recommend remedial action

integrate leadership skills into the veterinary technologists role within a veterinary practice and across a range of cultural contexts, while engaging in reflective practice.
