Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

engage constructively and collaboratively with the host clinical teams in the admission, management, and discharge of clinical cases

apply well-developed knowledge and skills to contribute to the professional and efficient operation of the facility

demonstrate proficiency and cultural competency in communicating with clients and veterinary practice staff while engaging in reflective practice

demonstrate proficiency in working collaboratively to handle and restrain a variety of animal species commonly encountered in veterinary practice.
