Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate proficiency in assisting clinicians and independently performing clinicopathological procedures and interpreting the results

demonstrate proficiency in assisting clinicians and independently performing gross pathology procedures and interpreting the results

demonstrate proficiency in adherence to established biosecurity and safety protocols, while engaging in reflective proactive to identify areas for improvement

demonstrate proficiency in communication, teamwork and professional skills by effectively interacting with clients, colleagues, and team members in the pathology practice setting.
