Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

integrate clinical findings, laboratory results, and epidemiological factors to accurately diagnose and facilitate disease management decisions

demonstrate proficiency in performing post-mortem examinations and sample collection on common veterinary species through practical experiences and case-based learning

demonstrate proficiency in applying the veterinary elements of food safety through practical experiences and case-based learning

proficiently and confidently apply the principles of HACCP in food safety while engaging in reflective practice.
