Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate proficiency in applying the principles of ethical decision-making in veterinary practice through practical experiences and case-based learning while considering a diverse range of cultural perspectives

demonstrate proficiency in effective communication, interpersonal, and professional skills within a team through practical experiences and case-based learning while considering a diverse range of cultural perspectives.

apply knowledge of the principles and financial operations for veterinary practice and personal finances, recognizing their importance in running a successful and sustainable veterinary business

demonstrate core competencies for handling and restraining animals safely and humanely in a clinical setting while engaging in reflective practice.
