Unit description

This unit provides further training in professionalism, ethics, cultural competency, communication, and animal handling skills. The unit integrates the CEL placements completed through years 1-3. This will prepare students for their clinical training and placements, teaching them to work safely and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a service for clients and their animals.

Learning outcomes

apply knowledge of the principles and financial operations for veterinary practice and personal finances, recognizing their importance in running a successful and sustainable veterinary business

demonstrate core competencies for handling and restraining animals safely and humanely in a clinical setting while engaging in reflective practice.
