Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply knowledge of gross and microscopic pathological processes of common veterinary diseases

analyse clinical presentations of common veterinary diseases to recognise key pathological findings and formulate differential diagnoses

apply knowledge of the pathogenesis of common veterinary diseases to effectively differentiate diseases while actively engaging in reflective practice

apply immunology principles to effectively explain the development and progression of diseases, immunological testing and diagnosis, and immunization strategies for prevention and control infectious diseases.
