Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
understand the global environment within which the travel and tourism industry operates.
actively research contemporary issues and trends within hotels and the tourism industry with the aim of writing media articles.
understand the different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, associated storage, production and support equipment, and appropriate service of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
understand industry practices in order to commence an internship.
