Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
identify and analyse the impact of health and the environment upon wellbeing and critically review the influence of the environment upon health and wellbeing
deconstruct and evaluate health issues in children's, staff and families' lives to support optimal wellbeing
analyse environments that cause trauma, and implement strategies that support children who have been exposed to trauma
develop critical awareness of controversies and differences of opinion regarding health and wellbeing for children, and develop skills to clearly communicate with children, colleagues and families about these issues
