Gold Coast students attend a one-hour workshop and a two-hour tutorial weekly at St Andrews Lutheran College.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
evaluate educational games and sports experiences in accordance with PDHPE syllabus requirements
apply the principles of movement studies through effective pedagogies in the school context
demonstrate understanding of effective assessment techniques used to evaluate performance in games based approaches
identify and demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills relating to teaching games and sports with appropriate curriculum links to the PDHPE Syllabus
