Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

critically analyse social work organisations and management using organisational theories

evaluate implications of organisational issues involved in social work practice within and across organisations

critically reflect on the role of social workers in leading and facilitating organisational change, to promote ethical practice, human rights and social justice

demonstrate and critically reflect on collaborative social work leadership skills in group and team contexts
