Unit description

This unit examines Australia’s political and legal systems and the contribution of a human rights perspective. It overviews Australia’s democratic and federated political system and how contemporary social policy is developed and implemented with consideration to the social implications of policy.

Learning outcomes

design and present a policy brief on a social issue relevant to social work that demonstrates a human rights perspective

apply academic literature and digital resources critically and effectively for postgraduate study
