This unit contains Work Integrated Learning (WIL) that requires students to meet mandatory fit to practice obligations prior to attending. Failure to comply by the fit to practice deadline will result in the cancellation of your WIL and you will not be permitted to continue in this unit. Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate advanced skills to work as a safe, competent pedorthic practitioner
demonstrate a professional level of case management skills consistent with a beginning pedorthic practitioner
provide person-centred pedorthic advice and appliances for complex/high risk cases
display high standards of professional and ethical conduct consistent with a beginning pedorthic practitioner
communicate competently and professionally, and present a case study consistent with the requirements of a beginning pedorthic practitioner
critically review pedorthic practice.
evaluate quality and develop quality improvement activities for pedorthic service delivery.
