Develops student knowledge of the mechanics of abnormal foot function and methods of intervention to prevent injury, treat pathology, and optimise gait and mobility.

describe the role of orthomechanical therapies in the treatment of lower limb pathology

evaluate the evidence for the practice of orthomechanical therapy

critique theoretical models of lower limb orthomechanical therapy

describe the characteristics and uses of materials and techniques used in the manufacture of orthotic devices

demonstrate practical techniques in orthomechanical therapy

incorporate orthomechanical intervention into treatment plans
