Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate ethical and professional decision making and behaviour appropriate to physiotherapy including adherence to relevant codes of conduct, standards of physiotherapy practice and client rights to ensure care of patients and protection of public

effectively communicate with clinical educator, and educate patients/clients and their families, carers and communities, and all other relevant stakeholders

apply evidence-based clinical reasoning in management of client presentations across clinical settings to achieve person-centred treatment goals and promote health and wellbeing

integrate reflective practice and contemporary knowledge and behaviours to meet the professional threshold standards for autonomous and collaborative inter-professional entry-level physiotherapy practice in a range of contexts across the lifespan

apply evaluative judgement and reflective practice skills within their role in the continual growth as a competent physiotherapist
