Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

critically analyse evidence-informed osteopathic health care and scope of practice

develop and negotiate safe and effective patient-centred care with discussion of options for management including holistic/global dysfunction in the context of biopsychosocial model of healthcare

provide the reasoning underpinning the high velocity manipulative techniques in the thoracic and cervical spine and upper limb

demonstrate the safe and effective use of high velocity manipulative techniques in the thoracic and cervical spine and upper limb, including practitioner self-care
