Enrolment information
This unit is double-weighted and includes placement. Students should not enrol in any other units at the same time. This unit contains Work Integrated Learning (WIL) that requires students to meet mandatory fit to practice obligations prior to attending. Failure to comply by the fit to practice deadline will result in the cancellation of your WIL and you will not be permitted to continue in this unit. Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate competence in identified core areas of Occupational Therapy practice as specified in the Australian Occupational Therapy Competency Standards
apply professional problem solving and clinical/professional reasoning skills relevant to occupational therapy service delivery
demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills with clients, stakeholders and staff
demonstrate initiative, self-direction and reflection in practice
