Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
discuss safe, ethical midwifery practice that supports care of the unwell baby, the woman and family during complex situations
discuss the pathophysiology, and management, including the care, for babies experiencing complex genetic or metabolic conditions
discuss the pathophysiology, and management, including the care, for babies experiencing complex medical conditions
interpret and explain diagnostic testing and screening results in assessing the unwell fetus/baby
