Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
understand the conceptual, analytical and mathematical limits of the theoretical techniques so that they can be applied appropriately
develop skills to enable mathematical modelling and analysis of dynamic phenomena in machines using MATLAB
develop problem solving skills in situations where dynamically generated forces and motions are significant
develop skills in effectively and safely using equipment in a team environment for experimental investigation and measurement of dynamics phenomena, and in reporting findings
understand the application of dynamics in mechanical engineering professional practice.
