Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply analytical knowledge of the tools, principles, techniques of visual analytics to create effective data empowered graphics to facilitate insight generation and decision-making

understand the fundamental components of data graphics and develop data visualisations in a systematic approach

representing complex relationships of data using advanced visual techniques and presentations to enable interactive investigation of data

communicating effectively and professionally with visual products and interpreting outcomes.
