Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
Independently plan a research project output or outputs that demonstrate research and research design skills, critical thinking, initiative, judgement and ethical awareness.
Critically evaluate disciplinary, methodological, ethical, and cultural questions relating to a research project.
Demonstrate a broad understanding of a body of knowledge and theoretical concepts in a specific discipline with advanced understanding in at least one aspect.
Demonstrate written and other applicable communication skills to present a clear and coherent exposition of knowledge.
