Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate knowledge of the elements of special interest tourism as a subset of the larger tourism industry.

critically analyse a special interest tourism activity and its impacts on key stakeholders

demonstrate a capability to design and plan a special interest tourism activity that meets the competing needs of key stakeholders

demonstrate the knowledge and skills to reflect upon the challenges confronting the special interest tourism sector and its impact on its stakeholders and how you as an industry professional respond to that.
