Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate knowledge of the accommodation sector, its various forms, and its relationship with other sectors within the hospitality industry
identify and compare and contrast the operational links between front and back of house and their impact on the guest experience and profitability in the context of the "guest cycle"
demonstrate the capability to enhance the guest cycle to meet the needs of target markets and achieve profitability
demonstrate the knowledge and skills to reflect upon building a service culture to meet the needs of target markets.
