Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

articulate a comprehensive understanding of neurological conditions, including their diagnosis, treatment, side effects, and implications for exercise capacity and safety, and demonstrate the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical case scenarios

develop and demonstrate assessment skills, exercise programming skills, and clinical reasoning for clients with neurological conditions or diverse functional abilities

apply principles of inclusive practice to design and adapt exercise interventions for clients varying abilities, such as paediatric clients or those with a neurological condition or disability, ensuring accessibility and individualised care

apply the principles of interprofessional practice to address the broader healthcare needs of clients with neurological conditions and diverse functional abilities
