There will be a three day compulsory residential for ALL students that will be held on the Gold Coast campus. Students to provide own lunch/drink and accommodation arrangements. For further information please contact the Unit Assessor.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate a working knowledge of the concepts and content of the Years 7-10 Visual Arts and elective syllabi, including cross-curriculum priorities and general capabilities
prepare detailed, engaging, coherent and effective lesson plans and units of work that relate to selected syllabus content and learning outcomes, assessing the appropriateness of resources (including ICT) that link to informed and effective teaching and learning
demonstrate effective teaching and learning strategies, based on a range of current pedagogical frameworks
apply an understanding of aspects of curriculum differentiation in order to meet the diverse needs and cultural backgrounds of learners, and to engage students in active learning
