Learning outcomes

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate a working knowledge of the concepts and content of the Years 7-10 Visual Arts and elective syllabi, including cross-curriculum priorities and general capabilities
prepare detailed, engaging, coherent and effective lesson plans and units of work that relate to selected syllabus content and learning outcomes, assessing the appropriateness of resources (including ICT) that link to informed and effective teaching and learning
demonstrate effective teaching and learning strategies, based on a range of current pedagogical frameworks
apply an understanding of aspects of curriculum differentiation in order to meet the diverse needs and cultural backgrounds of learners, and to engage students in active learning
