Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate a broad understanding of a body of knowledge and theoretical concepts in education, with advanced understanding in at least one area of investigation
demonstrate skills in critically reviewing, analysing, and synthesising knowledge in education
practise ethical and inclusive enquiry and communication
demonstrate written, verbal, and other relevant communication skills to present a clear and coherent exposition of knowledge
create a thesis that demonstrates research and design skills, critical thinking, initiative and judgment in developing new understanding
exercise autonomy in one’s learning and responsibility in one’s practice as a researcher
disseminate findings in diverse contexts
