    Students undertaking the Industrial Technology teaching area are required to attend compulsory skills development workshops.


Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

critique current aspects and issues that impact the industry, industry products, society and the environment that have led to sustainable innovations and emerging technologies

discuss the practice of design processes and manufacture in an industry context

demonstrate advanced, contemporary skills and methods the use and maintenance of tools, equipment and/or machinery

apply project management (including WHS issues) and communication skills to the safe production and documentation of a complex, high quality product
