Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
review contemporary academic literature about English curriculum and pedagogy for Primary Years: Foundation/Kindergarten – Year 6
demonstrate knowledge of the structure, content and requirements of the Australian Curriculum F-6 English and NSW K-6 English Syllabus
plan lessons to teach and assess English across: Speaking and Listening, Reading, and Viewing and Writing and Representing
prepare a portfolio of resources and teaching activities for English; Speaking and Listening, Reading, and Viewing incorporating the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities (ICT) and Cross Curriculum Priorities
