Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

conduct digital investigations based on the accepted professional investigative process

choose and utilise appropriate tools to gather and analyse forensic data from a variety of sources

analyse the results of a computer and/or data forensic analysis and provide the results of the analysis in a format and style suitable for audiences of both technical and managerial backgrounds

interpret and appropriately apply the laws and procedures associated with identifying, acquiring, examining and presenting digital evidence.
