Postgraduate degrees are open to all graduates with a bachelor’s degree or, in some cases, equivalent work experience. You may be eligible for credit based on employment history or prior study.
There are different types of postgraduate qualifications, each designed to fit your career goals, such as:
- Graduate certificate: Comprises of four units of work and typically takes six months full-time.
- Graduate diploma: It has eight work units and is usually completed in one year of full-time study.
- Masters: Consists of sixteen units of work and typically takes two years of full-time study to complete.

Southern Cross Uni offers online and on-campus study options for many postgraduate programs. Choose what suits your lifestyle, whether you're a working professional or prefer full-time face-to-face study.
- Fee-paying courses – Those eligible may be able to defer their fees through a FEE-HELP loan. Those not eligible will be required to pay for the units they study each term upfront at the beginning of the term they study them.
- Commonwealth Supported Place – Those eligible can defer their fees through a HECS-HELP. Those not eligible will be required to pay for the units they study each term upfront at the beginning of the term they study them.

- If you have gained knowledge, skills, and abilities through previous study or experience, you can seek recognition of your prior learning when you apply to become a Southern Cross University student or at any time during your enrolment.
- When applying for admission, check the box that indicates you wish to be considered for 'Advanced Standing'. The faculty will then assess your eligibility and provide you with an outcome.
