Special Admission

Have you had hardship or experienced disadvantage during Year 11 or 12? You may be eligible for special admission.

Special admission is designed to assist applicants who have been disadvantaged during their senior school years. Students must demonstrate how educational performance has been seriously affected by circumstances beyond your control.

An application for special admission is not an application for tertiary study. Students must apply for tertiary study either through UAC, QTAC or directly to Southern Cross University (including through Early Offer), as well as applying for special admission.

How to apply for special admission

Applying through UAC

Students can apply for Educational Access Scheme (EAS) consideration with UAC by submitting the EAS application form in addition to a UAC application.

Applying through QTAC

Students can apply for special consideration through the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) when lodging a QTAC application.

Applying directly

If you are applying directly to Southern Cross University, the Special Admission Scheme questions are included in the online application. Special Admission Scheme applications must be received by the end of December for study in Term 1.
