  • If you have completed Year 12 studies, in most cases we will be able to access those results on your behalf. Our friendly team will contact you following the assessment if we have been unable to access to request alternative documentation
  • Evidence of any TAFE studies through school (i.e. Certificate 3, Certificate 4 or a Diploma)
  • Evidence of the highest level of education
  • A resume (CV) that details any industry or workplace experience

Undergraduate Certificates and Diplomas

These are a great pathway to further study at Southern Cross University. Outside the minimum language requirements detailed on each course page, your application may be assessed on a number of factors and therefore may require the following:

  • Evidence of any Certificate 3 or above studies
  • Evidence of the highest level of education
  • A resume (CV) that details any industry or workplace experience

For Graduate Certificates

For some Graduate Certificates, you may need to demonstrate a high level of work experience or have an Undergraduate degree.

  • Academic transcripts and graduation certificate, also known as a testamur, degree or an award of all relevant previous studies. Note: If you are yet to graduate, incomplete study will be accepted for assessment however please be aware that your offer may be conditional on completion
  • A resume (CV) that outlines your work history
  • You may also be required to demonstrate professional standing or a specified level of qualification particular to the industry which will be specified on the course page under entry requirements

Start your application

Applying for Honours (one year)

You will be required to provide evidence of your undergraduate degree. You can still submit your application for assessment if you are still completing final units or subjects of study, however, your offer may include the completion of these as a condition. We advise to check your course page about finding a supervisor for your Honours year as you may need this in place before you submit your application.

The minimum GPA for Honours is 5.0 and varies by course. GPA and other requirements, such as proposals or supervisor agreements, are detailed on the course page.

Single subject or unit study (non-award)

Applicants looking to study a single unit (subject) can apply online using our application portal. To apply select "Miscellaneous Non-Award" from the dropdown list when searching for your course.

Transition to University Program

This is an intensive preparatory course delivered over six-weeks. To be eligible you must satisfy the criteria outlined on the course page that includes:

  • English language requirements
  • Completed Year 12 studies within the prior year of application e.g. if you graduated from Year 12 in 2022, you are eligible for the 2023 Transition to Uni program
  • You must be eligible to receive an ATAR or equivalent in Year 12

Preparing for Success Program (PSP)

PSP is a flexible, fee-free course. Students can undertake one or two units in six-week blocks, until they complete the course. To be eligible you must satisfy the English language requirements outlined on the course page and have completed a minimum of Australian Year 10 studies, or equivalent. Applicants unable to provide this may be asked to submit a Personal Competencies Statement, learn more.
