How to apply

Applicants applying for this scholarship must:

  1. Be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
  2. Be enrolled full-time in or commencing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Regenerative Agriculture at Southern Cross University.
  3. Reside within the North Coast (Tweed, Byron, Ballina, Lismore, Richmond Valley, Kyogle, Clarence Valley, Coffs Harbour and Bellingen LGAs).
  4. Show strong academic performance with excellent achievements as evidenced by recent ATAR results (school leaver) or a current University GPA.

As part of their application, students may be required to provide a Statement of Commitment to their studies. This statement will reflect their passion and dedication to regenerative agriculture. Additionally, students would explain how receiving this scholarship will help them achieve their career goals in this field.

  1. A personal introductory statement (100–200 words) that includes why they are applying for the scholarship and what they hope to achieve in the future through completing their chosen area of study.
  2. An assessment of the candidates’ Statement of Commitment to their studies.
  3. The candidate’s previous academic history or other meritorious achievements may be considered part of the selection process.

Our Regenerative Agriculture program draws on Southern Cross University’s expertise in plant science, agronomy, ecology, agroforestry, environmental chemistry and socio-ecological systems. It also works in collaboration with industry groups and the farming community.
