GradStart Nursing and Midwifery Honours Scholarship Program
The Northern NSWLHD GradStart Nursing and Midwifery Honours Scholarship Program aims to support recent Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery graduates to broaden their research skills and experience. Tweed Heads, Lismore Base, or Grafton hospitals will provide the scholarship recipients with part-time employment whilst they undertake a Bachelor of Health and Human Science (Honours) at Southern Cross University.

Final year Bachelor Nursing or Midwifery students interested in this scholarship should submit an expression of interest for the honours program with their application for the GradStart program to the Northern NSW Local Health District.
Students will be required to participate in an interview process that will enable them to understand the expectations of the honours program.

Apply nowTo be considered for this scholarship, it is a mandatory requirement that applicants will be final year or recent graduates of a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery program and be eligible for enrolment in the Bachelor of Health and Human Sciences (Honours) program at Southern Cross University.
The Bachelor of Health and Human Sciences (Honours) combines coursework units with research skills development to support an independent research project, leading to the submission and examination of a 15,000-word thesis. Students are guided through the program by an academic supervisor. A minimum weighted credit grade average is required from your undergraduate degree.
- A recent graduate from either a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery
- Successful admission to the GradStart program
- Applicants must meet the requirements for entry into the Bachelor of Health and Human Sciences (Honours) program at Southern Cross University.
- A 250-word statement on their commitment and interest in healthcare at the time of application.
