CGC Regional Scholarship
CGC Civil Geotechnical Consultants was Australia’s first certified engineering social enterprise, and is proud to donate a scholarship to a Southern Cross University student.
This scholarship will support a student experiencing genuine hardship from a regional/remote area, or recently relocated from a regional or remote area to study Science or Engineering at Southern Cross University.

How to applyApplicants applying for the CGC Regional Scholarship must:
- Be classed as residing in a regional or remote area or have relocated from a rural or remote location to study at Southern Cross University.
- Demonstrate a form of disadvantage under the following: carer responsibilities, financial hardship, Indigenous Australians, long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse and/or sole-parent responsibilities.
- Be enrolled (full-time or part-time) in a Science or Engineering degree with Southern Cross University. Civil Engineering will be preferred.
Applications will be evaluated on:
- Their personal introductory statement (100–200 words) which includes why they are applying for the scholarship, how it would benefit them and what they hope to achieve in the future through the completion of their degree.
- Their personal response to the scholarship application questions in general — in particular statements related to hardship.
- Students that are interested in pursuing Geotechnical Engineering, Geology (or similar) as a branch of Civil Engineering post-graduation will be preferred.
