Our researchers continue to secure funding from nationally competitive schemes and industry, which supports our growth and underpins our collaborations, publications and research training. 

Our approach to research development is focussed on our people. We offer a variety of internal funding schemes, programs, and workshops to support researchers at all career stages – whether you are just starting out, or an experienced researcher.

Development opportunities

The Re-establishing research and publishing program aims to support Mid-Career Researchers who have experienced career interruptions, or who wish to get back into ‘research-active’ and publishing mode. Participants work with external mentors throughout to rebuild and strengthen their research track record, by developing a research plan and focussing on writing towards publication in high-quality journals. 

In 2025 our Mid-Career Researchers will have the opportunity to participate in an MCR researcher development program to support your leadership and career growth. 

Our Early-Career Researcher development program will relaunch in 2025. ECRs can also participate in the Impactful publishing program, which will recommence in 2025.  

The Graduate School holds a range of research skills training workshops throughout the Higher-Degree by Research journey. HDR students can also participate in the Impactful publishing program, which will recommence in 2025.
