An exhibition of photographs taken by Southern Cross University nursing students on placement in India is on show at the Gold Coast campus library.
Titled ‘What can I do for you?,’ the exhibition of 19 images represents the student experience as they visited community health clinics, schools and aged care facilities as well as scenes from daily life in India.
Each image is paired with reflections from a student about the experience of nursing in India.
The placement was funded by a New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant, an Australian Government initiative to foster greater collaboration between Australian and neighbours in Asia and the South Pacific. More about the nursing placement
“These words are the voices of students who were inspired by their experiences at different points during the trip. It is our hope that this collection reveals the value of international placements and partnerships. We seek to share the profound learning opportunities that come from collaborations with universities across borders,” said the students who organised the exhibition.
The exhibition is open to the public from 31 March until 8 April at the Gold Coast campus library.
