Come along to an SCU Info Day

Southern Cross University is opening its doors to prospective students for information days this week at the Lismore, Gold Coast and Coffs Harbour campuses.

The days are aimed to help students make their decision of where to study in 2014. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend to explore the University’s three diverse campuses and guided campus tours will also be run.

“SCU Info Days are a very helpful tool in assisting prospective students in their decision-making process,” Janet Hanlan, head of Marketing and Recruitment at SCU, said.

“Attendees can meet with lecturers, attend information sessions on any course options, receive career advice and gather information material that can assist them to hit the ground running should they attend Southern Cross University.

“It also helps prospective students familiarise themselves with the campuses so if they choose to attend the University they have an idea of where to find essential services and teaching facilities.

“Current students will also be on hand to talk about university life.”

The Lismore campus Info Day will be held on Wednesday, December 4, starting at 10.30am in the Whitebrook Theatre. This will be followed by course information sessions from midday, and lunch with staff and student ambassadors at 1pm.

The Gold Coast campus Info Day will include two sessions on Thursday, December 5, The morning session, starting at 9am (AEST) will feature course information sessions on all health disciplines. The afternoon session, starting at 1.30pm, will include course information on all other disciplines. Campus tours will be conducted at regular intervals.

The Coffs Harbour Info Day was held on Monday, December 2. For anyone who can’t attend the campuses, virtual information sessions will be held on Tuesday, December 10, and Thursday, December 12.
