Researchers working on natural products and the area of plant phytochemistry will gather for a symposium at Southern Cross University tomorrow.

It will provide them with the opportunity to be updated on the current research being done by scientists in Australia and abroad and give them an indication of current research trends.

Some of the attendees will be staff from Southern Cross University, presenting their research for the first time.

There will also be participants from the University of NSW, Macquarie University, University of Wollongong, University of Newcastle, University of Sydney, University of Canberra, University of Queensland, and Griffith University.

Lecture topics for the day include:
• Natural Products for Drug Discovery and Development;
