Buddhist spiritual teacher shares insights into mind training

Renowned Tibetan Buddhist spiritual teacher Khyentse Jigme Rinpoche will share insights into mind training – a practice for uncovering innate wisdom and compassion – when the 2008 Wisdom Series is launched at Byron Bay this week.

Presented by Southern Cross University’s Centre for Peace and Social Justice and the Office of Regional Engagement at Southern Cross University, the Wisdom Series brings together leaders of various spiritual traditions at talks, seminars and workshops to encourage university and community engagement.

The mind training workshop is being held in conjunction with Byron Bay Buddhists -Siddhartha’s Intent Australia on Friday, February 15, from 12-2 pm at the SCU Room at the Byron Bay Community and Cultural Centre.

Khyentse Jigme Rinpoche was born the youngest son of Terton Kangyur Rinpoche and, at an early age, was recognised by the Karmapa and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche as a reincarnation of Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro. His main teachers are his father
Kangyur Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Dudjom Rinpoche and Trulshik Rinpoche.
