Showcasing works from printmakers, painters and 3D, Southern Cross University’s annual graduate art exhibition will include an eclectic mix of contemporary art.
The TRANSIT 07 exhibition, which opens on Friday, November 9, will showcase works from 35 students in the final year of the Bachelor of Visual Arts. Held in the spacious surrounds of the Visual Arts Block, those in attendance will have an opportunity to view and purchase works from emerging contemporary artists.
The students operate at the cutting edge of contemporary art, producing work commenting on a diverse range of political, environmental, social and personal issues. The exhibition promises to be an eclectic mix of contemporary art.
The exhibition will be opened on Friday, November 9, at 5.30pm and will run for two weeks, closing on November 24. It will be open daily from 10am to 5pm, except Sundays, with extended opening until 8pm on Thursdays.
TRANSIT 07 will be held in the visual arts block (V Block) at Southern Cross University Lismore Campus, Military Road, East Lismore.
Photo: Kirk Watts, of Lismore, will be exhibiting large scale finely detailed collaged portraits of Howards’ front bench.
