New law studies course offered at Southern Cross University’s Tweed Gold Coast campus

People who are working in a profession that requires them to have legal research or paralegal skills will benefit from the upcoming introduction of a paralegal degree to the Tweed Gold Coast campus of Southern Cross University.

From the beginning of next year, the University is making its Associate Degree in Law (Paralegal Studies) available on the campus.

Professor Bee Chen Goh, Head of the University’s School of Law and Justice, said she was certain there would be strong demand for the course, close to the busy professional centres of Tweed Heads, the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

“We are delighted to be able to offer this outstanding course in a more convenient location for South-east Queensland and Far North Coast students,” she said.

“Students will receive tuition via a combination of face-to-face classes and distance education study packages and will be able to study full-time or part-time to fit in with their busy personal and professional commitments.

“Southern Cross University has just been ranked Australia’s number one Law School for overall student satisfaction out of the nation’s 29 Law Schools in the most recent Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) survey by Graduate Careers Australia.

Southern Cross University is hosting information sessions about its law courses at the Tweed Gold Coast campus this Saturday (October 7) and again on Saturday October 21, from 10am to 12 noon. The campus is located on the corner of Brett and Wharf Streets, Tweed Heads.

A further session will be held on Saturday, October 28, from 10am to 12 noon at the
Robina Community Centre, Meeting Room C, Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina.

The information sessions will cover everything you need to know about studying Law and Legal Studies at Southern Cross University including information for on-the-spot assessment of applications for the Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies.
