Southern Cross University is small, but what it lacks in size and prestige, it makes up for in energy, confidence and positive graduate satisfaction ratings according to the 2004 edition of the prestigious Good Universities Guide published this week.

SCU three campuses scored the maximum five stars for flexibility with entry requirements and four stars for graduate satisfaction. The Tweed Gold Coast campus scored a further four stars for its electronic support of students and three stars for academic services.

On Saturday, 9 August, from 10am to 3pm, Tweed Gold Coast residents can see for themselves why SCU rates so highly. The university is opening the doors of one of the most modern and technologically advanced campuses in the country to prospective students and their families.

Staff and student advisers will be on hand to answer questions about courses, services, costs and facilities. Visitors can choose from campus tours, presentations or personal consultations.

Course information will be available on the Doctor of Business Administration, the Master of Business Administration, the Master of Business in Hotel and Tourism Management, the Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Social Science, and the Bachelor of Business.

There will be demonstrations of the highly rated computing services for students as well as the state of the art library with its electronic books, on-line newspapers and journals, and interactive tutorials.

The Tweed Gold Coast campus first opened in February 2002. Since then it has doubled its student numbers and forced Southern Cross University to look at ways to expand the campus.
