Frequently asked questions
The Mock Trial is a dynamic competition where students from six schools come together to simulate a real courtroom trial experience. Each school will be represented by 6 student representatives.
The Mock Trial is open to Year 11 and 12 students with an interest in the legal system, offering them a chance to step into individual roles. Each school selects a team of six students to participate, and family and friends are warmly invited to come and spectate.
All you need to bring is your enthusiasm, a sharp mind, and any preparative notes you have been working on! We have the gowns and gavel covered, so you just focus on bringing your A-game to the courtroom. And, of course, don’t forget to bring your cheering squad – family and friends are welcome to join in on the fun!
School staff can easily register online via our university's event page. Simply fill out the registration form. You will receive a confirmation email with additional details. Once we receive all the registrations, we will reach out to the schools to confirm court appearance roles, the details of the case, and provide any preparative documents.
Absolutely! A representative from our Law faculty will meet with each school and class to discuss the case, offer guidance on preparation, and provide valuable advice
