Give the gift of opportunity

Dayna is combining her two passions – drones and agriculture. Developing a business where she could offer drone services to farmers – such as crop health monitoring and disease mapping data – was a natural next step and when Dayna heard about a scholarship to help students with start-up ideas, she applied.

“This scholarship has also given me even more motivation to keep doing what I’m doing and pushing through my last few months of studying with the end goal of assisting farmers in a better future of farming and understanding of their crops alongside my drone data and interpretation”.

Donors allow Amy to head West for remote placement. The support of committed donors is helping exceptional students like Amy to broaden their professional networks and opportunities by subsidising the cost of travel, accommodation and necessary activities linked to their professional practice.

“The biggest impact of completing placements with rural and remote Australian communities is the opportunity to learn and appreciate Indigenous Australian knowledge and culture. The funding has given me peace of mind and taken the pressure off when considering the implications of completing a placement in rural and remote Australia. It’s great that I don’t have to miss out on a learning experience because of financial restrictions.” said Amy Whittle.
