Southern Cross University has been a major partner of the Gold Coast Marathon since 2008 as the presenting partner of the 10km race.
The 44th Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS will be held Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 July 2024 on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
The world class international marathon will attract 26,000+ participants across eight races including the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon, CPL Wheelchair Marathon, Half Marathon, CPL Wheelchair 10km, Southern Cross University 10km Run, Gold Coast Airport 5km, Gold Coast Bulletin 4km Junior Dash and Gold Coast Bulletin 2km Junior Dash.
This race also involves a significant presence from Team SCU, who have won the largest team award for several years, with a group made up of over 200 students and staff representing Southern Cross University.
Keep an eye out for the Southern Cross University Recovery Hub, where our very own Osteopathy, Exercise Science and Naturopathy placement students will be out providing treatments and advice for race attendees right across the weekend.

Where to find us
The Gold Coast Marathon Race Precinct is located at the Broadwater Parklands. It is the centre of all the action and atmosphere on race weekend and features the start and finish lines, event entertainment lawn, food and beverages, toilets, bag drop, information booth, a lost persons’ tent, and it’s easily accessible via the G:link rail.
