Griffith University Sport Bowl

The Griffith University Sport Bowl is an annual intervarsity multi-sport competition that involves all northern (Northern NSW and QLD) universities. Southern Cross University has a long history of attending this event and has done exceptionally well, besting the likes of The University of Queensland and even Bond University. 

In 2025, the Griffith University Sport Bowl will be held at multiple locations at Griffith University on Saturday 24 May. The sports that will be contested at the Griffith University Sports Bowl will be:

• 3x3 Basketball - Men's & Women's
• 5-a-Side Soccer - Men's & Women's
• Badminton - Mixed Doubles
• Baseball - Open
• Dodgeball - Open
• Esports - League of Legends & Rocket League
• Netball - Women's & Mixed
• Rugby League 9s - Men's & Women's
• Squash (Singles) - Men's & Women's
• Table Tennis (Singles & Doubles) - Men's & Women's
• Tennis (Singles) - Men's & Women's
• Touch Football - Men's & Mixed
• T20 Cricket - Men's
• Volleyball - Men's & Women's

In addition to the sport, there will be food trucks, freebies, and music. For the first time, Griffith University will be looking to offer cash prizes for competition winners as well.
