Gold Coast Marathon

Celebrate the 45th edition of the Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS and run for the good times on Saturday 5 July and Sunday 6 July 2025 on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia!

Join Team SCU as we take on all of the different races at the Gold Coast Marathon including the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon, Half Marathon, and our very own Southern Cross University 10km. There will be other races on offer and caters to all ages, skills, and abilities. Check them out below!

This event is open to all Southern Cross University Students, Staff Members, Graduates & Alumni, and SCU Gym & Fitness Members with discounts available for your entries. 

All you have to do is email unilife@scu.edu.au with the following details and we will send you your discount code to the Gold Coast Marathon.

Did you know that this event is also the UniSport Nationals Distance Running Championship? 

This means that all university student entries into the SCU 10km, Half Marathon and the Marathon will count towards points for our university. In 2023, Southern Cross University won the Women's title for Overall University Champions in Distance Running. Help us win Overall University Champions once again by filling out this UniSport form (it's free!).
