The Coffs Coast Ocean Swims is a fun and exciting community event that features a set of open water swims for everyone to take part in. This event has been running since 1996 and Southern Cross University is an annual attendee to this event.
The swim courses are within the sheltered waters of the harbour next to the iconic timber jetty.
What events are on offer?
| Event | Description |
|---|---|
| John Mills 'North Coast Swim Academy Swim' (300m) | This swim is for younger entrants and will be held on the northern side of the jetty. This course is also ideal for those wanting to get their first taste of ocean swimming and to develop confidence in the open water. |
| Mike Blewitt Coffs Coast Swim (600m) | This swim starts on the southern side of the jetty and goes around the jetty, finishing on the beach on the northern side. This distance is perfect for those looking to take the next step in their ocean water swimming journey or those looking to develop their swim fitness. |
| Sawtell SLSC Coffs Coast Swim (2km) | This swim is for more experienced swimmers familiar with ocean open water swimming. The course will take participants in a clockwise motion out beyond the jetty around several buoys before returning back to the beach. |
